Matt and Eli's first time cookies

Spent the evening trying not to intervene as Eli and Matt made cookies for the first time (It took them longer to figure out how to attach the mixer bowl to the mixer than to make the actual cookie :) ) Eli learned that our oven has a timer (so that he does not have to squat in front of the oven watching the cookies trying to determine when they 'look' done) and they both learned the value of making sure you have all the ingredients on hand so that you don't have to make a burn run (hour round trip) to the nearest town to get eggs.  It was adorable watching them work together, figuring out how to read a recipe.  While they were cooking, Ry and I sat on the couch and watched a movie (Fireproof- a must see for those who have not) and Elle's worked her way out of bed and into the kitchen so that she could watch the boys and eat a second dinner (because the first one didn't seem to fill her up....or she claimed hungry so she could join in on all the action)...A great way to spend this Sunday night

P.S. The cookies were delicious!! Good Job Guys
