Right now I am watching the pilot Sara battle strong down drafts trying to take off with her passengers being a sick baby and the baby's mom- She is on a 90 mile flight to Bethel to bring the baby to medical help!
If you are at all interested in Flying or seeing what Alaska looks like (seriously FREEZING) It is a fun show to watch!
I received an e-mail from our adoption coordinator Conny a month or so ago. We were touching base about some information that our Adoption Agency needed- At the end of the e-mail she was excited to let us know that:
.
"If you get a chance to see Flying Wild Alaska on Discovery Channel, (I have to brag a bit...) my son-in-law, Luke, is one of the featured pilots and our daughter Alyssa will be on the program next season as a regular (she was pregnant during the shooting this season). On one of the last episodes they actually go to their home in Wasilla. Luke grew up in the fishing village, Unalakleet, where the show is based. It's fun for us as we know everyone on the show and all the places they go".

Speaking of flying- My dad has been an avid pilot my whole life- It has been his dream that one of his children would become an airline pilot. Out of his 5 children not one of us have taken up his love and passion for flying- thus there are no airline pilots in our family. My dad's newest 'recruit' is my Eli- While in Oregon over Thanksgiving Eli went flying with my dad and loved it . Below are some fun pictures of their flight.
