Blasted Flu! Poor Ryan

This past Mon. night Ryan came home from swimming with my mom and said his throat hurt- I sent him to bed and told him he would feel better by morning.....the next morning the sore throat turned into a 103.5 consistent fever, body aches, stomach ache, and dizzy.  Poor Ryan had not attended school since Mon.  Around here we will usually let something run it's course but by the wee morning hours this morning I knew that Ry needed to go to the doctor.
His appt. was at 2:20 p.m.- We were sitting in the waiting room shortly after arriving and Ryan's Dr. happened to be walking by.  He took one look at Ryan and said that he wasn't sure without doing a 'nose swab' test but he would guess that he had Influenza- 10 minutes later the test showed a positive  and we were off to the pharmacy to get the recommended (and fairly expensive) 'Tami Flu'....

Blast!!! It is the flu- Sorry Ryan, mommy hates to see you so sick :(

Here's to praying it does not spread around our family.....
